The Adapter works as it should, but the black wire is cracking open in two places, exposing the wires inside. The first place is where the wire goes into the transformer block. The second place is where the wire goes into the plug. It's split much wider at the plug end Laptop Charger Hp Pavilion.

The power cable that plugs into the block on one end and the wall outlet on the other was really short, so I ended up using a cable from one of my 2 original HP power supplies Laptop Charger Hp Pavilion.

Let me add that I bought an original HP power supply to replace the one that came with my laptop after the plug that plugs into the laptop went bad. That "Genuine HP" replacement lasted about 3 months. This non-HP power supply that I'm reviewing here has lasted a little bit longer than that, and was much cheaper than buying another "Genuine HP" power supply.
